Upturn

Hello everyone,

I am thrilled to announce that my game, Upturn, has just been released on the itch.io platform! It has been a long journey to get to this point, and I am excited to finally have it out there for people to play. I want to be transparent about the fact that the game is currently missing some features that will be added in the future.

Here are some of the key features that are currently missing:

-Map Changes: As a new game developer creating a multiplayer FPS game, I'm still learning what makes maps fun and engaging. Currently, Upturn has two maps: Farm, a small and open map, and Tundra, a larger map featuring teleporters to streamline player interactions.
To increase the maps' excitement, I plan to add more trees, walls, and other line of sight blockers, as well as hidden pathways to encourage exploration. My ultimate aim is to create maps that offer players a challenging and dynamic experience.

-Disabled Abilities: As Upturn has developed and evolved, I've realized that two abilities that were implemented early on in development no longer fit with the game. These abilities have been disabled for now, but I'm planning to replace them with new abilities that better suit the game's current state.

-Additional Game Modes: Currently, Upturn only has one game mode, but I am planning on adding a variety of new game modes in the future. My goal is to create a more mini-game-like experience where players can enjoy a variety of different games within Upturn with each mode revolving around the idea that the losing player has some sort of advantage to turn the game in their favor.

Despite these missing features, I believe that Upturn is still a fun and engaging experience. I have poured a lot of effort into creating a game that players can enjoy, and I am eager to see how people react to it.

Over the next few weeks and months, I will be releasing regular updates that will add new features and improve existing ones. I am committed to making Upturn the best game it can be, and I am grateful to everyone who chooses to join me on this journey.

Thank you for playing, and I hope you enjoy Upturn!
